Brand blended specifically to go with Pizza is the "Buzz Brand" of 2006

Lodi, CA (JULY 18, 2006) - Look out USA! The brand that everyone is talking about in Ohio is coming to a pizzeria, a wine shop or grocery store near you. Launched in Ohio in December of 2005, Pizza Vino is outselling many leading established brands for restaurateurs and retailers who immediately recognized the brand's potential. Pizza Vino is now also available in Michigan, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Kentucky, Mississippi and Alabama.

Pizza Vino Pinot Noir and Pizza Vino Cabernet Sauvignon were the first offerings from the brand which is produced and bottled by Las Vinas Winery in Lodi, California.

These two red wines are produced and blended specifically to be fruit forward, not masked by a strong oak presence, making them a perfect complement to the tomato-based sauces, cheeses and meats found in pizza. Pizza Vino's distinctive label features a pepperoni pizza with a red and white checkerboard, reminiscent of a tablecloth in a local pizzeria.

Pizza Vino Pinot Grigio, the first white wine offering from the brand, similarly pairs well with a variety if pizzas. The cheese and Roma tomato pizza featured on the label suggests correctly that this wine goes particularly well with margherita, cheese and white pizzas.

Wine drinkers, both novice and expert, are coming back for more. The eye-catching label attracted consumers initially; however, the quality of the wines has lead to strong repeat sales. "The label is great, but customers love the wine… I love the wine!" says, Jeff Ewart, owner of TLC Liquors, Kent, Ohio. "Pizza Vino is outselling all of our other wines combined", states Doug Ross of Rotolo's Pizza, Columbus, OH. While other brands compete for the dollar of the typical wine drinker, Pizza Vino is prompting people to enjoy wine with pizza instead of beer or soda pop. "It never really crossed my mind to have wine with pizza until I saw the label," admits Joe Stoudt, a self-described novice wine drinker, and now Pizza Vino enthusiast.

The Pinot Noir has a surprisingly deep ruby red color, lush flavors of red raspberry and a velvety finish. The Cabernet Sauvignon features ripe black cherry flavors and finishes with soft sweet tannins and just a kiss of oak. The Pinot Grigio has a nice citrus flavors with hints of melon. All three wines have a recommended retail of $8.99.
